Lucy Duckett (b. 2003, Annapolis MD) is a photographer currently based out of New York. She is a BA candidate in Visual Arts at Fordham University. Her work combines traditional forms of documentary that begin with a personal approach to a project.
Duckett’s photographs do not attempt to categorize subjects, but bring nuance. Through her pictures, the artist does not rewrite the system her subjects are born into. Instead, she seeks to explore their endless pursuit to escape it. There is, as a result, no end to a project in sight.
